Calming Vesak and Exam focus 2022!

Dear Students, Teachers, Parents and Well Wishers,

Hope you all are keeping well and safe!

The month of May was no easy one for majority of Sri Lankans! I take this opportunity to thank our Cambridge GCE O/Level and A/Level parents for their remarkable commitment towards children as they somehow brought our children for the exams on time and safely amidst all the chaos and turmoil! It is this kind of determination and support that both we the school and our students require in these extremely challenging times for all!

Despite the challenges we continued with education and had Parents days’. Towards end of the month, we also somehow managed to gather all our resources and host the much awaited “Vesak Bakthi Gee 2022”. The Vesak Bakthi Gee was held on Friday, 27th May 2022. It was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of our management, teachers, parents and above all our enthusiastic participants and excellent audience! The entire school was decorated with beautiful white Vesak lanterns and the auditorium decorated with many decorative items related to Vesak and related culture. The lights and sounds too added to creating a magical ambience!

Students took part in items of devotional songs, poetry, traditional dance and drama. Our students show cased to the world how innovative, skillful and talented they are as they performed with a level of almost professional excellence! This event served its true purpose where the event not only created bliss in the minds of the audience but also brought about much needed calmness by all. This was evident by the body language of the audience during the event as well as when dispersing after the end of it.

During the month of May let us remember the teachings of Lord Buddha and work towards a better future for our students with unwavering determination together, undivided with utmost resilience in these testing times in our nation! Gratitude to you all! Stay safe and positive always!
